Inventor of the Reed Procedure®
Dr. Kenneth Reed, M.D. received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. He completed residency programs in internal medicine and anesthesiology, and ultimately achieved board certification in three specialties – internal medicine, anesthesiology, and pain management.
Dr. Reed founded Reed Migraine Centers in 2011 and continues ongoing research and publishes and presents papers on pain management topics and the use of implantable neurostimulation devices for the control of pain. The Reed Procedure ® was peer-recognized in 2009 by the International Headache Society for pioneering innovation in migraine treatment, and recent research by Dr. Reed and Dr. Will earned the prestigious Cephalalgia Award, presented by the editors of Cephalalgia, the medical journal of the International Headache Society.
Additionally, he is a recognized teaching specialist who trains other physicians in specialized techniques of implantable neurostimulation and is a founding member of the Texas Pain Society.
